Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Noomi Rapace in the first posters for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

We haven’t really gotten a bit of SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 news for a few months, but it looks like Warner Brothers has started the ball rolling by debuting two teaser posters for the film that hits theaters this December. Neither of them are earth shattering, but they do clear up a couple of things about the film. I know fanboys and bloggers everywhere (including me) were positive that there was no way WB would move forward with the title “A Game of Shadows”, but we were all wrong and they went with it. I’m sure it will make sense in the context of the film, but it just sounds awkward to me. The other thing that people seemed determined to not believe was the casting of Jared Harris as Holmes’ nemesis Moriarty. He made the poster, he’s going to be in the film.
Along with Downey Jr. and Jared Harris, the film stars Jude Law, Stephen Fry and the great Noomi Rapace, who I was happy to see made the poster, albeit in a smaller image. The Guy Ritchie directed film hits theaters on December16th.
