Limitless director Neil Burger in talks to helm new Bonnie and Clyde film

Posted by: Zack Bruce

It seems like every other year someone is trying to get a Bonnie & Clyde film off the ground. All this effort despite the fact that there was a perfectly fine film made about the outlaw couple released back in 1967 starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Usually one film about a particularly popular event in history is never enough. Let’s just hope we never have to see that one with Hillary Duff.

Currently, Neil Burger (LIMITLESS) is in talks to direct the adaptation of  “Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde”. Sheldon Turner, co-writer of UP IN THE AIR will be penning the script. The book is a non-fiction piece from Jeff Guinn which follows, “two of America’s legendary outlaws, Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker, as the young lovers rob banks throughout the Depression-era South, leaving at least seven bodies in their wake.”

This is likely to be Burger’s next project since the adaption of the video game, UNCHARTED is going to take a bit due to a script rewrite.
