Emma Stone has to decide between Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn in The Gangster Squad

Emma Stone is the latest thespian gearing up to join the cast of the upcoming Ruben Fleischer directed film THE GANGSTER SQUAD. The popular actress will be cast as Jean, who is a sassy onlooker that gets wrapped up in a love triangle between Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) and one of the officers trying to take him down, Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling). Alongside these two A-list actors, Stone will also be starring with Josh Brolin, Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie and Michael Peña. The film is based on a series of true life articles about a special unit in L.A.P.D. during the 40’s that were tasked to take down the growing mafia influence of the East Coast Mafia which was run by Mickey Cohen, an associate of Al Capone. THE GANGSTER SQUAD is set for a release sometime in 2013.
