Bruce Campbell will join James Franco and Mila Kunis in Oz, The Great and Powerful
Bruce Campbell (probably best known for his roles in ARMY OF DARKNESS and on televisions Burn Notice) recently “tweeted” that he will be joining the cast of the upcoming Sam Raimi film OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. He said, “I. Am. In. Oz. Sam Raimi refuses to tell me what character I will portray. Just know that the role is PIVOTAL.” Raimi and Campbell have worked together previously on THE EVIL DEAD as well as the SPIDER-MAN films, so it’s no surprise that Raimi would throw him a bone again – that’s what friends are for.
OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL will also star: James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis, Abigail Spencer and Zach Braff. The film will follow a young wizard (Franco) who after enchanting a woman, takes off in a hot air balloon, gets lost and crashes in the land of Oz. When he arrives he finds himself in the middle of a feud between three witches played by Williams, Kunis and Weisz. OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2013.
