Matthew McConaughey will strip with Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum in Magic Mike

MAGIC MIKE is shaping up to have a dream cast for anyone that likes guys that have a six pack of abs. Hollywood bad boy Alex Pettyfer was recently cast alongside STEP UP veteran Channing Tatum in the movie about life as a male stripper and now they welcome the addition of none other than Mr. Abs himself, Matthew McConaughey. Matty will play the owner of the strip club that Tatum and Pettyfer work at and although his job technically won’t require him to strip, I can’t imagine he’ll keep his shirt on for the entire movie. I mean, the guy finds reasons to strip down in every movie, so in a movie about male strippers is at least giving him a legitimate excuse.
The film will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, who recently just finished working with Tatum on the film HAYWIRE. MAGIC MIKE is actually based on the real life experiences of Tatum when he worked as a stripper in Tampa, FL when he was 19.
