Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth throw their weight around on the set of The Avengers

More photos from Joss Whedon’s upcoming superhero film THE AVENGERS have popped up, and now we get to see two of our favorite heroes in action. Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) are busy fighting “something” in the streets. We’re going to go on the assumption that the villains are all going to be CGI and that these suits are just stand-ins. Unless, Thor and Captain America are fighting someone from TRON: LEGACY?! Just kidding, that would be weird and totally unlikely. We still don’t quite know who the villains in the film will be, but that news is probably going to be spilled sometime soon.

THE AVENGERS hits theaters on May 4, 2012 and will star: Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård and Amanda Righetti.
