Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johannson and Jeremy Renner in more new images from The Avengers, trailer coming on Tuesday

THE AVENGERS doesn’t hit theaters until May 4th, 2012, but that’s not stopping Marvel from unleashing the marketing machine early. We got a ton of new images from THE AVENGERS last week and today we get three more images, one featuring Black Widow, another featuring Hawkeye and a set photo that gives us our first look at Agent Maria Hill. TV’s ‘How I Met Your Mother’ is one of the better half-hour comedies, so count me as one that’s eagerly anticipating seeing Cobie Smulders on the big screen as Agent Hill.
If these three pictures aren’t enough, then take comfort in the fact that Marvel announced that the first official trailer for the film will debut next Tuesday, October 11th. Of course, most of us saw the teaser trailer at the end of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, so hopefully this one will be longer. THE AVENGERS stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johannson, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard, Cobie Smulders and Tom Hiddleston.
