Jason Sudeikis joins Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in Dog Fight

I find Jason Sudeikis to be a very funny person. I imagine that if you went out and had a beer with the guy, he would make you laugh all day. But as much as I like him, he doesn’t do the best job of picking his film roles. Although to be fair, I liked HORRIBLE BOSSES and I heard good things about A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY, so maybe this summer was the turning point for Mr. Sudeikis. The guy seems to have a movie every three months and to add to the list, he has signed on to star in the Jay Roach directed DOG FIGHT (formerly titled SOUTHERN RIVALS) about two competing politicians in a heated election in South Carolina.
He joins what promises to be an impressive team up of Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, who will play the competing candidates, along with Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa, who will play the candidate’s wives. No word yet on who Sudeikis will play, but my money is on a campaign manager. DOG FIGHT is set to hit theaters on August 10th, 2012, just in time to take our mind off the coming election.
