Kerry Washington joins Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained

The casting of Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED has been headline worthy so far and the only major role that hasn’t been announced is that of Django’s suffering wife Broomhilda. Those that have read the script have pointed out that it’s by far and away the toughest role in the movie and will require a lot from whichever actress lands the gig. Well, the suspense is over and although Tarantino supposedly wanted to cast an unknown, he decided instead to go with Kerry Washington, who has starred in several roles, including RAY and FOR COLORED GIRLS.
She joins a great cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, the recently announced Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Foxx, Kurt Russell, Christoph Waltz, Don Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Laura Cayouetteand Michael K. Williams. The film arrives on December 25th, 2012.
