Here's the first sneak peek at Adam Sandler's animated Dracula for Hotel Transylvania

Halloween is over. Typing that makes me really sad but then I look to the future and realize that I get to give thanks soon to some delicious turkey. Then there’s also Christmas, though as an adult you end up getting the “not-so-fun” presents– like socks and kitchenware.
To keep the spirit of Halloween alive just a few hours longer, early designs from HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA have been released thanks to Sony Pictures Animation. Adam Sandler will voice the titular character with several of his friends lending their vocals to other characters like Steve Buscemi, Fran Drescher, Cee Lo Green, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Molly Shannon and David Spade. Fran Drescher? How long has it been since she’s been in anything? I think she was on a television show recently but I really can’t be bothered to keep up with that. The film centers on Dracula (Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count’s teen-aged daughter. Cute, right?
The early designs for Dracula don’t bare much of a resemblance to Sandler. Remember when he played Opera Man on SNL? I was thinking something more like that. HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA should arrive next year on Halloween.
