First look at Daniel Day-Lewis on set in costume as Lincoln

Daniel Day-Lewis was already spotted with the Abraham Lincoln beard in a restaurant, but not in the full regalia. Finally someone caught the actor in costume complete with stove pipe hat with director Steven Spielberg walking on set.
Spielberg’s drama is adapted from Doris Kearns Goodwin’s best-selling book “Team of Rivals” and will focus on the political collision of Lincoln and the powerful men of his cabinet on the road to abolition and the end of the Civil War.
The actor looks spot on. I didn’t really doubt it for a second but the transformation is truly amazing. Before I was looking forward to seeing this film with the cast and the director involved and now after seeing this photo, I’m definitely in the seat before seeing the trailer. The rest of the cast includes Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, John Hawkes, Tim Blake Nelson, and many more.
