After much pain and fanboy angst, the first official trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is here. At this point, Christopher Nolan’s Batman is a little like Star Wars in the sense that the excitement is so extremely high that no matter what they throw on screen, fanboys are going to be appreciative. The difference, of course, is that Nolan has never let us down, so the excitement is warranted. With that said, the trailer is pretty impressive, even for a skeptic naysayer like myself. I think the Bane versus Batman fight is one of the most anticipated match-ups in movie history.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Juno Temple. This is the third and final Batman film for director Christopher Nolan and it opens in theaters on July 20th, 2012.
