Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross in the first look at The Bourne Legacy

As you gaze upon the first look at Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross in THE BOURNE LEGACY, you may notice that there’s something wrong with it that you just can’t put your finger on. Well, to clear things up, I’ll let you know what’s wrong with it; he’s not Matt Damon and this isn’t directed by Paul Greengrass. It’s as simple as that. But seriously, even though I have no desire to see this and I’m even less thrilled that Universal is going this alternate route with the Bourne franchise, I need to see a trailer for the film before I can accurately (or inaccurately) criticize it. At least in the first image, he has the standard haircut and the mandatory Euro-style jacket.
Along with Jeremy Renner, the film is set to star Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz, Joan Allen, Oscar Isaac, Stacy Keach and Scott Glenn. The Tony Gilroy directed film hits theaters on August 3rd, so expect to see a trailer pretty soon.
