Noomi Rapace and the Space Jockeys appear in a new image from Prometheus

Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS is still five months away from hitting theaters, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun analyzing every trailer and still that debuts from the film. Case in point, the image below was released yesterday and as you can tell, there are some unusual looking creatures/statues in the background. A little Photoshop tweaking brings them into the light a little better and you can tell that they’re the long rumored Space Jockeys that had a cameo in the original ALIEN. Of course, we don’t know how big (if any) a role they’ll play in the film, but at least we get a nice look at them.
One gripe I will make with the trailer and images we’ve seen so far is that all the characters seem to be staring at something off screen in almost every photo. Let’s get a look at them looking at something else, or show us what they’re looking at. PROMETHEUS stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Kate Dickie. The film hits theaters on June 8th, 2012.
