Benjamin Walker in the poster and new images from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Signed the emancipation proclamation, gave the Gettysburg address, was assassinated in a theater, hunted vampires. I think that about covers the life of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, at least it will after ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER hits theaters this summer. Although the premise sounds a little ridiculous at first glance, the idea could be fascinating if done well. But we don’t yet know which direction director Timur Bekmambetov is going to go with this story. He could go full on campy and it could still be fun, or he could try to go the serious route; either way, I’m interested to see a trailer for this.
The film stars Benjamin Walker as Honest Abe, along with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Alan Tudyk and Robin McLeavy in the film that will hit theaters in both 2D and 3D on June 22, 2012.
