Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Reynolds set for Big Eyes
The Sundance Film Festival is in full swing and so far, things have been pretty slow on the news front. But today we get wind that A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Reese Witherspoon are set to team up for a smaller indie film called BIG EYES. The film sounds interesting enough and is based on the true story of Margaret and Walter Keane who gained notoriety in the 60’s for their paintings of big-eyed children. But their fame escalated when the true artist was called into question. For the most part, Margaret stayed in the background while Walter took credit and did the publicity. But when it came time for a divorce, Margaret wanted her money. They went to court and the judge famously gave them each a blank canvas and of course, Walter was humiliated.
Larry Karaszewski will direct the film from a script he wrote. Larry has previously written THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLYNT and MAN ON THE MOON. Shooting on BIG EYES is set to start later this Spring.
