James McAvoy looks stylish in the first image from Welcome To The Punch

James McAvoy has established himself as one of our favorites and after big budget turns in WANTED and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, he’s making his way into mainstream popularity. Next up for the young Professor Xavier is the action film WELCOME TO THE PUNCH. In the film, McAvoy plays a London detective that teams up with a bank robber (Mark Strong) to solve a greater conspiracy. Andrea Riseborough plays McAvoy’s wife in teh film. On paper, it may sound like a typical crime film, but director Eran Creevy promises the film will be filled with huge action sequences and excitement.
The below image features James McAvoy in character and if this first image is any indication, we’re going to be in for one heck of a stylish film. Creevy and his team are hard at work trying to get a final cut of the film, so no release date has been set, but they hope to have it ready for SXSW.
