Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen and Luke Kirby star in the Take This Waltz trailer

After getting his feet wet with the comedy/drama 50/50, Seth Rogen is jumping all in with the drama TAKE THIS WALTZ. This also marks the first time we’ve seen a super-skinny Seth Rogen on camera (although he was pretty close in THE GREEN HORNET). In the film, Rogen and Michelle Williams play a married couple struggling with fidelity as the latter is constantly torn between her husband and a new man (played by Luke Kirby). The trailer makes it look pretty deep, even if it does get a little “artsy” at times. That’s fine, as long as the movie is substantial enough to handle it. The film also stars Sarah Silverman and Aaron Abrams.
The film is directed by Sarah Polley, who also wrote the script. Polley has done many things as an actress and even directed the 2006 critically acclaimed film AWAY FROM HER, but I’ll always remember her as that girl from GO back in 1999. TAKE THIS WALTZ doesn’t have a theatrical release date yet, but it should hit sometime in 2012.
