Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Beyoncé to star in Ryan Murphy's One Hit Wonders

While at dinner with Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow, ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy had an idea for a movie that would involve three pop stars that had huge hits in the 90’s and then decided to form a super group later in their careers.  Although I’m sure ideas like this fly around Hollywood all the time, apparently they come true if you have friends like Ryan Murphy.  So it looks like the film is going to happen and it will be called ONE HIT WONDERS and will star the aforementioned ladies as the pop stars.  Oh, and Beyonce and Andy Samberg will also star, with Samberg actually providing the music with his Lonely Island band.  No word yet on what role Beyonce would take on.

I might be in the minority, but I really like Lonely Island and I enjoy their ‘SNL’ skits.  I also like the idea of some 90’s pop stars getting together to form a band, so I’m kind of sheepishly excited about this.  To be honest, the weakest link in this film will probably be the direction of Ryan Murphy, who will also write the script.  Filming will start as soon as he’s done with his AIDS drama THE NORMAL HEART.
