Kristen Stewart and Garret Hedlund star in the On The Road trailer

Fans have been waiting a long time to see a trailer for the Jack Kerouac big screen adaptation of ON THE ROAD and I’m not sure this trailer is going to excite anyone that’s a fan of the book. But to be fair, adapting a Kerouac novel is just as tough as adapting anything by Hunter S. Thompson in that part of what makes them good is how deep and profound their writing comes across. That’s a tough trait to capture on film. But we didn’t even see half of the stars in this first trailer, so there’s still a lot to be seen from ON THE ROAD. And let’s not forget Walter Salles did a great job with the Ernesto Guevara novel THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES.
ON THE ROAD stars Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Alice Braga and Steve Buscemi. The Walter Salles directed film will hit theaters some time this year.
