The Vow starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams coming to Blu-ray May 8th
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that THE VOW, the romance starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams, will hit Blu-ray shelves on May 8, 2012. THE VOW opened this past February and reaffirmed that women love Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams as a married couple going through a devastating circumstance. The film did pretty well at the box office which was probably partly due to Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams, and probably also because it was the only romance that opened up around Valentine’s Day (how convenient yet really smart on Sony’s part). Apparently a lot of girls wanted to see Channing Tatum romance his wife and make her fall in love with him again, imagine that?
In case you missed it, here’s the official synopsis for THE VOW: “Leo (Channing Tatum) is devastated when a car accident plunges his wife Paige (Rachel McAdams) into a deep coma. She miraculously recovers – but the last five years of her memories have vanished. Suddenly, Leo finds himself married to a stranger who can’t remember anything about him…Desperately, Leo tries to recreate the moments that shaped their romance.” Super sweet, right? I personally prefer Channing Tatum in films like 21 JUMP STREET or HAYWIRE, but seeing the sweet side of an actor is always nice too. After all, I do have a heart and sweet spot for Channing Tatum just like a lot of girls I know.
Directed by Michael Sucsy, the film also stars: Scott Speedman (UNDERWORLD series), Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Jessica Lange (TOOTSIE) and Wendy Crewson (THE SANTA CLAUSE). The film will be available in a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack and has some special features that include:
- Commentary with director Michael Sucsy
- Deleted scenes
- Behind-the-scenes featurettes:
– ‘Til Death Do They Part
– Profiles of Love: Paige and Leo
– Trying To Remember
- Gag reel
