Jennifer Lawrence set to star in The Glass Castle

Jennifer Lawrence

Just as Katniss Everdeen and THE HUNGER GAMES are starting to slow down and lose momentum (though not too much)  at the box office, star Jennifer Lawrence is again moving forward and getting ready for yet another film.  It’s been reported that Lionsgate has acquired the rights to the New York Times bestseller The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeanette Walls. Jennifer Lawrence will star as Jeanette Walls in a story that sounds both dramatic and intriguing. The book is the true story of Walls’ youth and her trials of being raised by an abusive and dysfunctional set of parents. Though Walls’ mother, Rose Mary, owned land in Texas and was worth millions, she chose to keep the family in an impoverished state while her father had a tough time keeping work and drank on the side. No word on when production will start or who will be directing Jennifer Lawrence. The script is being written by Marti Noxon.

Jennifer Lawrence is staying quite busy these days. Not only is she going to be working on the next three films in THE HUNGER GAMES series, but she will also be appearing in THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET as well as THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. Both of these Jennifer Lawrence films will hit theaters by the end of the year.

Even though we are getting a lot of Jennifer Lawrence in a short time, I’m completely on board. I think Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most talented actresses out there right now and I hope she can maintain this success for as long as she wants. Jennifer Lawrence has a screen presence that is quite impressive and completely captivating and I look forward to all her future endeavors, whether they be as Katniss Everdeen or Jeanette Walls.
