Amanda Seyfried tries to look seductive in new poster for Lovelace

A new poster for the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic entitled LOVELACE is out and if you’re a fan of Amanda Seyfried then you’ll probably like it. Amanda Seyfried is definitely giving off the sexy porn star vibe and will probably catch many passerby’s attention as they wander past the theater. The poster is pretty weak in this writer’s opinion, but I will give the studio credit for making a statement. Of course I may be biased since a biopic on a famous porn star from the 70’s isn’t really up my alley and not something I’m looking forward to, so a poster won’t reel me in. So, that really leaves two films coming up about Linda Lovelace that I have no interest in, LOVELACE and INFERNO (which is the one that will star Malin Akerman), is anyone out there interested in seeing either of these films? And will someone please tell me why Linda Lovelace is suddenly so popular that she gets two biopics?
LOVELACE is basically the story of Linda Lovelace (Amanda Seyfried), the former 70’s porn star who is most known for her role in the film DEEP THROAT. She led a tough life in the porn industry and was abused by her husband Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard) until she broke free and became an anti-porn advocate.
LOVELACE is set to star Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Adam Brody and Robert Patrick, along with cameos from James Franco and Sarah Jessica Parker. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (HOWL) are directing the film which started production earlier this year. There’s still no release date but there’s a good chance LOVELACE will be making the fall film festival circuits and we may see this at the end of 2012 or the beginning of 2013. (Latino Review)
