Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer strip some more in new trailer for Magic Mike

Another trailer for the upcoming male stripper film from Steven Soderbergh has come out and although it is very similar to the first trailer, there is more dancing from Channing Tatum which is entertaining. We also get several more clips from Alex Pettyfer, but he looks a little puny next to Channing Tatum. The cast of MAGIC MIKE is also on the cover of Entertainment Weekly so we’ll give you a glance of that as well. I know how much the ladies love Channing Tatum, so even though we wouldn’t normally post two such similar trailers, I just couldn’t help myself.
MAGIC MIKE is a film based on Channing Tatum’s days as a successful stripper before he made it big in Hollywood. Channing Tatum plays Magic Mike, a very popular male stripper who takes a friend affectionately called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and shows him the ropes. Oh and Magic Mike falls for Paige (Cody Horn) who is The Kid’s sister, couldn’t have a film like this without some romance! MAGIC MIKE also stars: Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Mircea Monroe and Olivia Munn. You can catch MAGIC MIKE in theaters on June 29, 2012.
When I first heard about MAGIC MIKE I was completely on the fence. Shockingly, I’m not as smitten with Channing Tatum as some and from what I’ve heard about Alex Pettyfer and read some interviews with him he seems like a bit of a jerk. To me the only redeeming factor was that this was directed by Steven Soderbergh. However, after watching a couple of these trailers I have to concede that MAGIC MIKE looks like it has a little more meat to the story and I’m impressed that Channing Tatum would put such a major part of his life out there. Congratulations MAGIC MIKE, I’m officially hooked.
