Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis show their mascots in new posters for The Campaign

I haven’t made up my mind about the upcoming comedy THE CAMPAIGN, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. On one hand, Will Ferrell is always good for a few laughs, but on the other hand, I find Galifianakis a little annoying when he isn’t playing Alan in THE HANGOVER. I also fear that the filmmakers are relying too heavily on the timing of the movie and hoping that an election themed comedy will appeal to audiences during an election year. Sadly, their plan will probably work, but they’re going to need better trailers than what we’ve seen so far.
THE CAMPAIGN stars Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Sudeikis, Sarah Baker, Dylan McDermott, Katherine LaNasa, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Dan Aykroyd and Scott A. Martin. THE CAMPAIGN hits theaters on August 10, 2012. I thought they might wait until at least October, but a comedy with Will Ferrell is apparently better suited for a late summer release. (Yahoo)
