Oz, The Great and Powerful reveals the first poster for the film

No matter what is said, I will always wonder how Sam Raimi felt about not being able to make SPIDER-MAN 4. Now, with THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN seemingly doing well at the box office, Sam Raimi is focusing his efforts on his next big budget project, OZ, THE GREAT AND THE POWERFUL. Is it just a coincidence that the first poster for the film debuts on the opening day of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN? It seems a little petty, but hey, so is Hollywood.
The film follows Oscar Diggs, a circus magician who gets swept up from his home in Kansas to the land of Oz. Feeling lucky to be in a land of wealth and luxury, Oscar finds trouble when he meets three witches, who are reluctant to believe he is the great wizard he says he is. The film stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Bruce Campbell and Zach Braff (who I personally would have loved to see in the lead role). Although filming is complete, OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL won’t hit theaters until March 8th, 2013.
