Jennifer Lawrence in new images from House At The End of The Street

Jennifer Lawrence is a beautiful woman, there’s no denying that. And after great turns in movies like WINTER’S BONE, LIKE CRAZY, THE BEAVER, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and of course, THE HUNGER GAMES, she’s proven herself to be extremely talented as well. But sometimes, just sometimes when you look at a picture of Jennifer Lawrence, she doesn’t look very attractive. And I’m not talking about a paparazzi snapshot or anything, I’m talking about an official image from one of her films. For example, in the picture above, Jennifer Lawrence looks great, but in the first two pictures below, it’s almost tough to tell that’s even her. I’m not sure what that means, but hey look; new images of Jennifer Lawrence in HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET.
HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET follows a mother and daughter (Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence) that move next door to a house where a little girl killed her parents. A teenage boy (Max Thieriot) currently inhabits said house and against her mother’s wishes, the daughter strikes up a friendship with him anyway, which is when things get out of hand and we learn all kinds of secrets. Gil Bellows also stars in te PG-13 rated horror film.
I’ve probably said this before, but Jennifer Lawrence choosing a movie like this doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Her resume is already impressive enough that she can basically choose what she wants to do, so I’m not sure why she would stoop down to what’s essentially a teeny horror film. But teeny horror films have a way of surprising people and if Jennifer Lawrence can make this a success, then there’s no limit to her superstar status. HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET opens in theaters on September 21, 2012, which is too early for Halloween, but close enough to capitalize on the Blu-ray release of Jennifer Lawrence’s THE HUNGER GAMES.
