Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon in new images from Premium Rush

Though THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be the biggest film of the year that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be a part of, he has another couple of films coming out including the action film PREMIUM RUSH. Originally slated to be released in January 2013, PREMIUM RUSH has been pushed forward and will be opening late August which could or could not work for this smaller film. There’s a good chance it would have gone unnoticed had it stayed in the January time slot so it’s better that people will still be riding their THE DARK KNIGHT RISES high and may want to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in something else before his other film LOOPER hits the next month.
Directed by David Koepp, PREMIUM RUSH follows a Manhattan bike messenger who picks up a package that is wanted by a dirty cop (played by Michael Shannon) who starts to pursue the cyclist throughout the city trying to recover his envelope. PREMIUM RUSH also stars: Jamie Chung, Dania Ramirez, Aaron Tveit and Aasif Mandvi. It opens in theaters on August 24, 2012. (Kinopoisk)
