Universal’s upcoming action film THE BOURNE LEGACY hits theaters in less than a month and it’s surprising how little fanfare we’ve seen for it. Of course, we’re comparing it to the over-marketed THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and even moderately marketed TOTAL RECALL, but one would have thought that another film in the Bourne franchise would have garnered a little more attention. I guess that’s what happens when you actually take away the character of Jason Bourne, though Jeremy Renner isn’t a bad substitute at all. Anyway, today we’re getting a new television spot along with a couple of new photos from a major magazine. The trailer gives me hope, but I’m still missing Matt Damon and hope they can pull this off without him.
THE BOURNE LEGACY is set to star Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz, Joan Allen, Oscar Isaac, Stacy Keach and Scott Glenn. The Tony Gilroy directed film hits theaters on August 10th, 2012. Check out the spot below. (Empire)
