Robert Downey Jr. will be wearing new armor in Iron Man 3

We have to assume each sequel will bring some sort of variation to a superhero’s costume, but they’re usually a slightly darker color or an extra gadget or two. I wouldn’t say the new Iron Man armor is drastically different, but it features an abundance of brown, which I find odd. Maybe it will look more gold in the film, but I’m not sure that’s an improvement. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the traditional red armor. It looked sharp. IRON MAN 3 has a big booth at Comic Con and they’re showing off the timeline of armor, with the new armor shown front and center. As long as Robert Downey Jr. is playing Tony Stark, I doubt fans will care, but at least they got rid of that awful triangle.

IRON MAN 3 will be directed by Shane Black and in addition to Rebecca Hall will star: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Rebecca Hall (Maya Hansen), Guy Pearce (Aldrich Killian), Ben Kingsley (The Mandarin), Don Cheadle (Lt. Col. James Rhodes/War Machine) and James Badge Dale (Eric Savin/Coldblood). Killian’s character will create a virus called Extremis that will be an integral part of the IRON MAN 3 story line. Rebecca Hall’s character will also be a semi-love interest for Tony Stark. Production on IRON MAN 3 is already underway and will be released in theaters on May 3, 2013. (Facebook/SuperheroHype)
