Keira Knightley and Evangeline Lily vying for the female lead opposite Chris Pine in Jack Ryan reboot

The Jack Ryan reboot (still currently untitled) which will be directed by Kenneth Branagh, is looking for a female lead to play Jack Ryan’s wife and the three actresses up for the role are: Keira Knightley, Evangeline Lily (REAL STEEL and LOST) and Felicity Jones (LIKE CRAZY). Right now it sounds like Keira Knightley is at the front of the list but we all know that when a big role like this is up grabs anything can happen. Keira Knightley hasn’t really starred in a blockbuster action film for some time but she’s such a veteran she could handle anything they throw at her. Evangeline Lily would also be a good choice because we’ve seen her handle action quite nicely during her stint on televisions LOST. Felicity Jones is the wild card in this batch, only because this writer hasn’t really seen enough of her on screen. If the role requires nothing more than a support system for Jack Ryan (who will be played by Chris Pine) on the home front then Felicity Jones might be a good choice, but if Mrs. Ryan has to get involved in any action Keira Knightley or Evangeline Lily would be much better picks. We’ll let you know who ends up winning the role.
