Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter's Bill & Ted 3 gets a director and moves forward

There have been rumors circling for the past couple of years that a third film in the BILL & TED franchise was going to get made, but who ever thought it would actually happen? Turns out Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter were pretty sure as today we learn that there is indeed a script from Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon in place and there’s even a director now attached in the form of Dean Parisot (GALAXY QUEST). Crazypants if I ever heard it. No official word on what kind of adventure Bill & Ted will go on in this film, but we do know that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will both be returning and the film will pick up with Bill & Ted in their forties. Thank goodness this will be a sequel rather than another remake.
Not a lot more is known about BILL & TED 3 right now, but we’ll of course keep you posted when new information comes forth. In the meantime we can all look forward to Keanu Reeve’s next film 47 RONIN which hits theaters February 8, 2013. (Vulture)
