Robert Pattinson talks about his upcoming film The Rover

Robert Pattinson is making his first set of fall promo rounds this week as his David Cronenberg drama COSMOPOLIS hits screens today. Thankfully, all the talk wasn’t about his very public drama with Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson was able to give a little bit of insight into one of his upcoming films THE ROVER from director David Michod (ANIMAL KINGDOM).
Robert Pattinson described THE ROVER as, ” “It’s a kind of a western. It’s very existential. It’s really interesting. I couldn’t really explain to you what it’s about but it’s sort of about how much pain can the world take and how much disgust and cruelty before love dies. I think that’s kind of what it’s about.” The actual plot of THE ROVER follows Robert Pattinson’s character who travels across the Australian outback to locate his stolen car because it contains something that’s extremely valuable to him, it’s also set in the future which will definitely add something to the story. Sadly, THE ROVER isn’t shooting this fall like originally intended, so Robert Pattinson said he was going to try and squeeze another project in there somewhere. We can’t wait to see what that project might be.
Robert Pattinson can be seen this weekend in COSMOPOLIS and later this fall in the final installment in the TWILIGHT series, TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 2. Robert Pattinson has really chosen some excellent upcoming roles and it’ll be exciting to see what is in store for RPatz fans. (Playlist)
