Chuck Norris will not be coming back for The Expendables 3

A lot of fans of Chuck Norris were excited to see him back on the big screen this past weekend for THE EXPENDABLES 2, but don’t look for him in the next film because he won’t be reprising his role. In a statement Chuck Norris said about his return for the third film, he said, “Nope. Just number 2. This is it for me. Oh, yeah. This is very special…Just to be able to do the film with guys I’ve known for many, many years. To get a chance to get in and fight with them, it was a lot of fun. Plus getting a chance to meet Terry Crews, who I hadn’t met before. And Jason Statham whom I hadn’t met before. It was fun just to do that.” Considering Chuck Norris has been out to the limelight for quite some time, it’s surprising that he would pass on a film that’s pretty much guaranteed to be a success. However, earlier this year Chuck Norris was annoyed that there was so much “vulgar dialogue” in the film and the producers almost changed the rating of THE EXPENDABLES 2 to PG-13,but they went ahead and kept it as is. No confirmation that’s why Chuck Norris won’t be returning, but it could be part of the issue. Another possible reason he won’t return? Chuck Norris is 71 years-old, and though I didn’t see the film yet I’d guess that he was still kicking it pretty hard and you can’t do that forever.
THE EXPENDABLES 2 opened last weekend and took the box office. The film stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Liam Hemsworth, Chuck Norris, Yu Nan and Jean-Claude Van Damme. (Access Hollywood)
