Pixar's Monsters University gets a new photo and plot details are revealed

Since Pixar is riding the wave of sequels (CARS 2 and FINDING NEMO 2) it’s time we heard something about another sequel (or more like prequel) coming up in MONSTERS UNIVERSITY. Today we’re getting a new image from the film, though to be fair we saw this shot in the first teaser trailer that was released a while back. However, we’re also getting a bit of story info as Billy Crystal was doing an interview and he spilled the beans on some plot details for the film. He said, ” “[Mike and Sully] end up in the same fraternity where they have this scare competition — like Greek Games in college. They have to mobilize a group, sort of like REVENGE OF THE NERDS-monsters, and get them ready to be scary.” That actually sounds like it could work if the right brain trust at Pixar is behind the screenplay.
Pixar’s MONSTERS UNIVERSITY follows Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) when they were college rivals instead of the best of friends. Pixar’s MONSTERS UNIVERISTY is set to hit theaters on June 21, 2013. (Entertainment Weekly)
