Michael Fassbender is looking to join Natalie Portman in Jane Got A Gun
There are a lot of talented actors that have made their way into mainstream American movies lately, but I don’t know if anyone can change the quality of a film the way Michael Fassbender can. I’ve recently been going through some of his older films and I find that no matter what he does, he always makes the film enjoyable, just by being in it. That’s a quality that all of today’s A-listers have and with his recent string of success (both critically and commercially), Michael Fassbender is sure to be a mainstay on Hollywood’s A-list. If the early rumors are to be believed, Michael Fassbender could be lending his talents to another genre, this time taking on the Old West in JANE GOT A GUN.
The project is set up as a leading vehicle for Oscar winner Natalie Portman in which Portman would play a woman who seeks the help of her ex-lover after her outlaw husband’s gang comes looking to collect a debt. Michael Fassbender would play her tough guy ex-lover and together, they team up to defend her house. Lynne Ramsay (WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN) is set to direct the film from a script by Brian Duffield. Should Michael Fassbender officially sign on, will start filming in early 2013. (Vulture)
