Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman star in the final The Master trailer

Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming film THE MASTER hits theaters in less than three weeks and today we are getting the final trailer which features Joaquin Phoenix who seems to be going a little berserk. The final trailer is short but intense and just adds to the mystery surrounding the film. Critics appeared to really enjoy the movie but have said that’s it’s tough to embrace and at times a little cold. Either way it looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see the ensemble of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams.
THE MASTER follows Freddie Sutton (Joaquin Phoenix), a WWII veteran going through a rough period in his life. When he happens upon Lancaster Dodd (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who has come up with his own religion along with followers, including his wife (Amy Adams), Sutton decides to try it out before questioning what he’s really starting to believe in. Loosely based on Scientology, THE MASTER should be a fascinating film that opens in theaters on September 14th, 2012. (The Film Stage)
