Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis in more new photos from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

It was announced this weekend by Peter Jackson that fans would get to see a new trailer for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY this Wednesday, and special content would start to be released as well. Looks like “special content” is already starting to roll in as today we’re getting a new batch of photos from the film. These images give us another glance at Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Andy Serkis as Gollum and then some more shots of Thorin Oakenshield and others that will partake in the journey through Middle Earth.
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY focuses on Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), a hobbit from the Shire. When a group of dwarves along with Gandalf the Grey come to his home, Bilbo is recruited to join them all in an adventure. During this trek across Middle Earth, Bilbo will encounter many creatures, one of which is Gollum who currently possesses the precious ring that spawned three more books. Directed by Peter Jackson, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY stars: Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Fry, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Brett McKenzie, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Ian Holm, Benedict Cumberbatch, Luke Evans and Cate Blanchett.
