Anna Kendrick will showcase her vocal talents in the musical The Last Five Years

Anna Kendrick is slowly building her resume with interesting and fantastic films, and it looks like she has signed onto a musical adaptation that will give audiences another chance to see her shine. Anna Kendrick will star in the upcoming musical adaptation THE LAST FIVE YEARS which follows a young and struggling actress named Cathy (Anna Kendrick) who starts off the film by finding love in a fellow actor named Jamie. However, through a different kind of storytelling, the audience will follow Cathy’s story in reverse chronological order while we watch Jamie’s story unfold in a regular fashion. Through the film we will see the first date, break-ups and marriages that is sprinkled with musical numbers.
THE LAST FIVE YEARS will be written and directed by Richard LaGravenese (P.S. I LOVE YOU and other than Anna Kendrick no other actors are attached at this time. If you can’t wait to see Anna Kendrick sing her heart out, you can see her in the recently released PERFECT PITCH which has been receiving pretty good reviews. (Moviehole)
