Looks like director Adam McKay and producer Judd Apatow are in search of some big talent for their upcoming sequel ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, and right now they have their sights set on SNL alum Kristen Wiig. Even though she’s just eyeing participation at this time, her addition would make the film so much better. If Kristen Wiig decides to join, she would play the love interest of the dense weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell). Recently Kristen Wiig has been taking more serious roles but if she decides to do another comedy in the near future she would have quite a cast to work with. Stay tuned for more casting announcements as Adam McKay said they are hoping to feature a “murderer’s row” of talent for ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES.

Directed by Adam McKay, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES will star: Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Luke Wilson and David Koechner. Filming is set to start in the spring with a hopeful release of next October. (The Wrap)
