Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley and Don Cheadle star in the Iron Man 3 Super Bowl trailer

The Super Bowl was a bit of a letdown bot in terms of the game (I’m a big 49ers fan) and the commercials. The trailers that did premiere during the game were either very familiar or not that great. But one trailer that premiered that offered something a little clever was for Marvel’s IRON MAN 3. Basically, they showed a quick, intense clip from the film and then asked fans to visit them on Facebook and watch the full trailer. The full trailer/spot offers a little bit of new footage, highlighted by the clip of Iron Man saving people from a plane crash. The only thing that doesn’t work for the Super Bowl spot is the introduction by Robert Downey Jr. It just seems a little awkward and goes on too long.
