Amour, Argo, Lincoln and the 2013 Oscar predictions for Best Screenplay and more

Usually the Foreign and Documentary nominees are less seen by the average movie goer. I admit even as a critic, I was unable to see many of the foreign films but with this years juggernaut in AMOUR (click the link to read my review), I can’t imagine anything being better. However, the documentary category is usually full of unseen gems that I believe many will enjoy if they give it a chance. The Best Animated Films were also an extremely strong category this year and I believe is anyone’s game (come on FRANKENWEENIE!). One of my favorite categories is for Best Original and Best Adapted Screenplay. Both of which usually have some unique contenders and are always among my favorite films of the year. This year the battle happens to coincide with many of the Best Picture nominees. ARGO, LINCOLN, AMOUR, ZERO DARK THIRTY and many of the others all have a chance.
