Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto star in the new Star Trek Into Darkness trailer

I’m interested to see what kind of feedback the die-hard Trekkies give for the new STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS trailer. It seems director J.J. Abrams may have listened to some of the criticism since it looks like Captain Kirk and his crew will do more “treking” in INTO DARKNESS. There were at least two different worlds and what appeared to be a new alien/monster they’ll encounter, which should add more sci-fi back into the franchise. However, it does look like most of the action takes place on earth, so it will be interesting to see how Abrams incorporates that into the overall scope of the franchise.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will star Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The J.J. Abrams directed film will hit theaters on May 17th, 2013, but will debut on IMAX screens on May 15th.
