Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton may or may not return for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters sequel

Remember that little movie that hit theaters in January called HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS that starred Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton? Did you happen to see it? Well, if you did then you contributed to that film grossing over $200 million at the box office. How is that possible you ask? Apparently this fairy tale adaptation was quite the hit overseas which means one thing dear readers…that’s right a sequel is in the works. There is no word yet on whether or not Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton will be returning to the forest to take out witches, but it would be surprising. There’s a better chance that the two main stars will be replaced with no name actors and subjected to a straight to DVD release, but I could be wrong since stranger things have happened.

Directed by Tommy Wirkola, HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS stars: Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare and Zoe Bell. HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS should be making its way to Blu-ray in the next couple of months so stayed tuned. (Deadline)
