Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas in new images from Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives

I’d be shocked if Nicolas Winding Refn’s ONLY GOD FORGIVES doesn’t hit the festival circuit this year, but as it is, we haven’t seen much from his DRIVE follow-up yet. A lot of fans are looking forward to his reteaming with his DRIVE star Ryan Gosling and after the found a lot of success at the Cannes Film Festival, I suspect they’ll go back there, hoping to repeat some of the early buzz that film received. Of course, the Cannes buzz didn’t help DRIVE much at the box office, due mainly to the fact that it wasn’t released until months later. Hopefully, they won’t make the same mistake with ONLY GOD FORGIVES since a late May release date has been rumored. Oh, and the guy in the last photo is Vithaya Pansringarm, who will be playing The Angel of Vengeance, who will obviously give Ryan Gosling’s character trouble.
Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, ONLY GOD FORGIVES stars: Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas, Tom Burke, Yayaying, Sahajak Boonthanakit and Gordon Brown. There is no release date for ONLY GOD FORGIVES, but hopefully that May rumor will hold true. It’s also being reported that a trailer is due in a couple of weeks, so we’ll keep an eye out for that.
