First time writer-director Abe Sylvia has assembled some big names to surround his two unknown leads in DIRTY GIRL.  Milla Jovovich, Mary Steenburgen, William H. Macy and country music stars Dwight Yoakam and Tim McGraw will be supporting Juno Temple and Jeremy Dozier in the film.  The film is set in Oklahoma in the late 80’s and revolves around a high school slut that teams up with a closeted homosexual boy to run away from their small town.

The subject matter seems tough for a first time writer-director to pull off, so I’m wondering how he’s going to do and how far he’s going to push the envelope with this kind of story.  Why the film is called “DIRTY GIRL” isn’t quite clear, but with a name like that, it should show up well in search engines.  And what are the chances that Yoakam will play a creepy, sleazy guy while McGraw will probably play the nice, wholesome type?
